How we handle your information when you use this site or our services.

Who we are
EGI Interiors Limited is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We're registered in England and Wales, company no. 06885478, at Unit 5, Kelvin Industrial Estate, Long Drive, Greenford, London UB6 8GB. You can contact us at info@egiuk.com or on 020 8578 5775.
What we collect
- Enquiry details. Your name, phone number, email address, postcode, the type of project and any notes you send us.
- Order and installation details. Your address, room measurements, design drawings and specifications.
- Payment and finance information. Where you place an order, including information passed to a finance provider if you apply for credit.
- Technical data. Your IP address and browser type when you submit a form, kept to prevent abuse of the form.
- Analytics data. Only if you accept analytics cookies. See "Cookies" below.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a design visit. Necessary for taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
- To design, manufacture, deliver and install your furniture, and to take payment. Performance of our contract with you.
- To keep records of orders, guarantees and transactions. Legal obligation, and our legitimate interest in defending claims.
- To prevent spam and misuse of our forms. Our legitimate interest in keeping the site working.
- To send marketing, and to use analytics cookies. Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary:
- Our email provider, which delivers your enquiry to our inbox.
- Finance providers, if you choose to apply for credit.
- Delivery and installation partners, where they're involved in your project.
- Google, if you accept analytics cookies (Google Analytics and Google Ads).
- Professional advisers or authorities, where we're required to by law.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where that happens, transfers are protected by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become orders. Up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Order, guarantee and installation records. For the life of the guarantee and at least 6 years afterwards, so we can honour it and meet our legal obligations.
- Accounting records. 6 years, as required by HMRC.
- Analytics data. As set by our Google Analytics retention setting.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies unless you accept more. Essential cookies remember your cookie choice and keep the site working, and they don't track you. If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: be told how your data is used; access a copy of it; have inaccurate data corrected; have data erased; restrict or object to how we use it; ask for it in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object and we'll stop unless we have compelling grounds to continue.

Security
Enquiries are sent over an encrypted connection and stored on access-controlled systems. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
